Beliefs
Much of what I know arise from matters of experience and from reading. I thirst for knowledge especially of the paranormal. I have desire for variety, diversity and spontaneity in most human activities. Monotony, to me, breeds boredom. I believe I live in a world of change. I have a solitary disposition and very sensitive to what goes on around me. I am attracted to people with good sense of humor. I hate to be in the mainstream of issues even if it means being cynical. I love colognes and wrist watches. If I won 100 million dollars l will build orphanages around the world. I can be very sarcastic sometimes and believe me, I welcome sarcasm too. I believe in the soul as being the essence of human existence and that salvation lies within us. I believe in the esoteric mysticism in the scriptures of major religions. Though I believe the course of life is already laid out, my worst fear lies in the unlived life; what can happen next; the next second. I have learnt to let go of things not meant for me and to view them as opportunities for greater things to come. A change of perception is what miracles are all about.
I learnt to brush off troubles as I brush the dust from my garments and I realize that the measure of all things happening to me is not a matter of the pain or pleasure they bring to my body but the progress or retardation they bring to the man within me; and since all things are matters of experience and lessons may be learnt from each, I am learning to take the sting out of grief by searching in each for the wisdom enwrapped in it as
the petals are folded within the bud.
I am continually redefining my experiences in general, my perspective on life in particular and my interaction with various elements in my cultural background. I dwell on some of the inherent Aesthetics of my immediate environment which are evident in my works the repetition of the strokes and patterns enormously play a significant part in my work. The designs that are used in bringing out the diverse subject matters reflected in my works are sometimes used for their meaning and sometimes used as visual tools and elements to create composition depth and design. These impulses alternate in my work lending dynamism and continuity to the works. Artists are blessed with the ability too create symbols and endow them with meaning.
Among those who paint, some strive for an elaborate effect and others prefer the simple, some aim to be deft and others t be laboriously careful, some set great values on method while others pride themselves on dispensing with method. I strive to be all in one and modify them according to my intelligence and capacity. The end of all method is to seem to have no
method.
